Dion Leeuwenburg

Dion is a Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience across public, private and ‘not for profit’ sectors.

During this time he has enjoyed supporting clients with their management and recovery from: wellbeing, relational, and mental health issues.

His clinical experience is very broad; working with both children and adults who have experienced a vast array of wellbeing and mental health difficulties.

Dion has substantial experience in treating trauma including PTSD and also complex developmental trauma, he has also facilitated group therapeutic programs for adults and children including topics such as mindfulness, mental health, substance and relationship difficulties. During his career he has facilitated professional training and psycho-educational groups in the areas of trauma and child abuse.

Dion is highly motivated to support clients (re)connecting with future, goals, hopes and aspirations. He enjoys applying a broad range of skills and techniques to support children, teens and adults.

Dion utilizes therapeutic modalities including:

Dion has a Medicare Provider number, therefore rebates can be claimed if a referral is presented from a GP via a Mental Health Care Plan.
